Baxter Plumbing & Heating

DON'T use this company if you have heating issues. I've got a heat pump and in July the A/C was blowing hot air. Baxter's came out and diagnosed the problem as a short-circuited heat unit in the air handler. They said they would get back to me when parts came in - they didn't. Stopped by their shop in September and the lady at counter took my name/number and said a technician would call in a day or two - they didn't. Stopped at their shop again the end of November and they sent a technician out to get part numbers and said they'd call when parts came in - they didn't. It's now the end of December in the dead of winter and heat pumps don't work well by themselves when it gets below 20 degrees. Apparently they don't have the expertise to fix this issue, or just don't want my business. Worse, they don't have the courtesy to let me know. After five months of waiting and little initiative on their end, it's time to give their competitors a call.

We woke up to no heat on one of the coldest days with the weekend forecast even colder. They were able send sen someone out the same day for an estimate and install just a few days later. Orville was very thorough with our options and they were able to have a quick install. They even loaned us space heaters. Definitely a company we will recommend to others. Noah and Nate were efficient, quick and clean.

A friend recommended Baxters to me last year & I’ll never use another company. I’ve used them 3 times so far. The first time, I was on maternity leave, our toilet was backing up into our bathroom. They came & cleared the pipes (turns out there was tree root in it). While doing this, they noticed our one furnace was leaking & replaced the valve for us! The second time, I was still on maternity leave & hadn’t even had a chance to pay for their first visit, but they still came out & fixed our problem - our second furnace was leaking BAD, lost a whole tank of oil & I was worried about CO2. I just used them again for our furnaces yearly service! They replaced what needed to be & cleared our chimney. All the staff I’ve had so far were very helpful, polite & explained the issues each time. Prices were better than I was anticipating too! Thank you Baxters team!

Horrible service. Had a guy out to give me a quote (10k+ job) and never received the quote. Called a few weeks later, twice, and finally left a message, still no response. Called a third time a week later and finally got a response. Then it still took another week and a half to get the quote. By the time I received the quote the job was done and paid for through another plumbing company. So I foolishly decide to use them again a year later for a small job. They schedule me 3 weeks out. I take a day off of work to be here for them. They call me 45 minutes before they are supposed to show up and cancel…..but did offer to show up late if I paid them for an “overtime” service call. What a joke.

So… I found that one of the connections in my plumbing had been running for MONTHS! (Yeah, you can imagine how happy I was when I received a $1000 water bill). Anyway, I called Baxter, whom I’ve used before, and they literally sent someone over immediately. The guy had a full work load mind you. He got everything fixed up in minutes. When he left, he said they’d send a bill. I wondered to myself, “is this gonna be outrageous?” I’m a small business owner myself (C&F Masonry), so I know how unreasonable people can be with their price gouging. Well I got my bill, and I have to say, THESE PEOPLE ARE 100% FAIR WITH THEIR PRICING! Great experience and honest folks.
