So pleased to leave this review for the install of a tankless water heater. Marty promptly responded to my inquiry, gave me a highly competitive bid right out of the gate, and made a site visit shortly thereafter. I initially reached out to Black Diamond Experts. The BD bid was shocking, over $10,500 for the same brand water heater. Rocky and Nick did the entire install. Very competent, affable professionals, they did an excellent job. No shortcuts, copper fittings (not plastic) all around. It makes sense that BlueBest won Best of State recognition. They performed well above my expectations. Their business model is first-rate and they clearly respect and appreciate their customers. Best service I have received in many years, will use BlueBest for all my HVAC needs going forward. My house was remodeled before I bought it, & I’ve slowly had to fix bad wiring, sloppy plumbing, & a furnace install that doubled as a trash bin. When my furnace died, I knew it was time for a full comfort overhaul: whole-home air filtration & humidifier, a gas tankless water heater, water purification, & reverse osmosis for my sink. Utah’s hard water was making me ugly by wrecking my skin & hair, & winter inversion made my asthma miserable. I spent an entire week getting bids for this big, complex project. Each company had a different take. Lowe’s was professional but the brands they offered didn’t seem like the best value. Costco’s partner, Superior, was the biggest letdown. Didn’t really inspect the system or ask the right questions, & their recommendations felt expensive & disconnected from what my home needed. Western & Larsen were professional w/decent bids. My neighbor had done a major remodel moving her furnace from a crawlspace to the attic, all done by Blue Best. She raved about Nick & his team & told me not to skip a bid from them. Marty from Blue Best immediately stood out from everyone else & quickly became my favorite. Incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, & kind. My dirt crawlspace isn’t exactly fun to work in, but he went in anyway & took detailed measurements. He noted uninsulated ductwork, poor drainage slope, & even drywall chunks & Tupperware inside the blower compartment-so yes, I had been breathing through construction leftovers for 6 yrs.He designed a new system with a high-efficiency heat pump, 4-inch filter, gas tankless water heater, whole-home purification, &reverse osmosis. He explained rebates &tax credits that make high-efficiency systems cost about the same as mid-range ones. I also loved his honesty about the humidifier-he said adding one in an uninsulated crawlspace could freeze & cause issues, so he advised waiting to see how the new system performs first &we can revisit.Saving me money for other projects. Blue Best handled everything-permits, rebates, &inspections-made the process seamless. Tami was communicative, organized, & kept me updated with text messages & clear arrival times. What I expected to take a week was finished in just TWO days. Annette has been great too, keeping me updated on permits &inspections. Day 1 was HVAC installation with Nick, Rocky, & Kasey-the dream team!My neighbor had bragged about Nick’s skill on her attic conversion, &now I understand why. Rocky & Kasey are just as impressive; together they’re three experts balancing each other’s strengths & double-checking every detail. They relocated my AC/heatpump, ran new copper lines, cleaned up years of bad installation work, removed and took away all the old equipment, professionally installed the new systems, & left everything spotless. Day 2 was R.O. Plumbing & water heater installation with Rocky again, plus Shawn & Alma. The mix of experience was perfect-Shawn clearly leads with decades of expertise, Alma & Rocky worked with precision & teamwork. They removed my old water heater, engineered venting for the new tankless gas system, installed the purification setup, & made sure my reverse osmosis line also feeds my fridge ice maker for clear ice. They worked long hours, stayed positive, & left the space immaculate. And still took the time to walk me through the basics of my systems and what to look out for. Every person I worked with-Marty, Tami, Nick, Rocky, Kasey, Shawn, Alma, & Annette-was incredibly professional, caring, & clearly proud of their work. They didn’t oversell, rush, or leave a mess. Their employees seem happy & properly supported. My home finally feels evenly heated, the air feels fresh, my skin looks better, & my asthma hasn’t acted up once.If you’re collecting bids, save yourself the time & start w/ Blue Best. Whether your project is simple or complicated like mine, you’ll be in excellent hands. Rocky, Kyler, Britton, and Riley were phenomenal. Besides being knowledgeable they’re also very cool people. They were efficient and communicative during the entire install process(we got a new heat pump and furnace.) Thank you Dallin for not sitting on my couch for over 2+ hours trying to win me over like some other companies. It was refreshing! Marty, it was also good talking with you- I appreciate the honesty and willingness to answer all my questions. Overall we are so happy! Can’t wait to be warm lol Best of luck to all of you!
