C.F. Acri and Son

My father, an 88 year old vet, has used Acri since he moved into his home in 2020. He’s been very happy with them until now. In March 2024 he spent $8,000 to put in a new hvac unit. In March 2025 he scheduled Acri to come out and do the Spring maintenance. When the tech got there he discovered the unit outside was leaking Freon, added Freon and due to trace the leak and said he’d be back in a month to check it. My father never saw anyone from Acri again. He did get a bill for the Freon and service call and since the unit was THREE DAYS out of warranty they were not honoring the warranty. At the beginning of July he contacted another hvac company because the air conditioning wouldn’t cool the house. The other company came out, said it was leaking Freon and replaced it. When my father told the tech about Acri putting in due to trace the leak the tech told him he saw no evidence of any dye being placed in the unit and that there were several things wrong and he couldn’t believe Acri had done this type of shoddy work. My father emailed Acri and GOT NO RESPONSE. So he we are a month later, my father’s house was 85 degrees yesterday with the AIR CONDITIONING RUNNING CONSTANTLY. He called Acri to see if they would come tell him whether or not the unit should be replaced, which is what the other company recommended, and they told him someone would call him “tomorrow”. This is absolutely unacceptable that Acri won’t stand behind their work, and a senior citizen with three lung diseases is being forced to live in a house that won’t cool below 85 degrees.

Having just bought a new home, I discovered that the furnace was short cycling. Since Acri installed the furnace, I contacted them. Even though it was not urgent they were here within 24 hours. The tech was very thorough, professional and resolved the problem. The charge for service was very reasonable. I will be using them for HVAC service. I do highly recommend them.

I had work done with the thermostat on my heating system. The thermostat that I wanted installed was a complicated internet-based thermostat. When I called the C.F. Acri and Son, Jen answered and and confidently stated that they could install the thermostat. Chris came out to install the thermostat and was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. I was impressed with how easily he installed the thermostat, including some troubleshooting that he had to do and repair from the previous homeowner's wiring. Rates were reasonable and this company is now my go-to for HVAC needs.
