From the start, they made it easy to schedule and were able to get to my home within 24 hours of calling to check out my failing furnace. Our service tech Mike was friendly, knowledge and explained the process and repair needs every step of the way. I never felt pressured into add on services or products, and my issue was promptly resolved. This is the only company I'll be using moving forward, and would recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Using a different plumber will save you a lot of headaches. They do shoddy work that does not last and the company does not stand behind their work. We had a blockage from under our bathroom sink for which greater Pittsburgh plumbing installed valves and new hoses under the sink. Within 8 months we started getting a leak from below our sink. We called greater Pittsburgh plumbing again for the repair. The technician stated it was not a call back for his original repair and charged us full price for the second repair. He stated that this can sometimes happen when the flexible hose he installed is too short and so replaced it with a longer. When I called to clarify why this was not considered a call back for the original work, the manager just repeatedly stated that because her plumber said that it was not due to his original work then they would not cover it. The plumber stated that the leakage was from the PVC directly below his valve. Looking at the picture, you can see that there is barely a half centimeter of PVC pipe below the valve. The manager refused to acknowledge the plumber stated that this can happen when the installed hoses are too short. Dealing with them when you have problems with their work is extremely frustrating. Trying to get the manager to call you back takes multiple phone calls over many days. I wish that I looked at the other customer stories on reddit prior to choosing to go with them, it would have saved me close to $500.

I had to redo the entire interior sewage line of my house. I had a couple of different estimates, including one from a company I had worked with on another property recently that I was very pleased with. Greater Pittsburgh's number was significantly lower than all of the other estimates I received, and I hadn't seen any recent reviews of this type of repair by them, so I was hesitant, but as I was trying to recoup some money due to other unrelated unforeseen work I had to deal with, I went with them. Their work was top notch. Tyler and the crew did a fantastic job from start to finish. Having just seen this same task done recently on another house I can say they did just as great a job as another company that had quoted me a price $5k higher for the same work. And they worked hard to get the job done by end of the day Friday before a 3 day weekend, thus peace of mind before the holiday. I don't anticipate needing a repair of this scale again, but I absolutely recommend Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing for anyone considering them.
