My husband, Troy, was the one that dealt directly with everyone. He says, "5 stars, everyone was just perfect!" From the swift response when our furnace went out, to the end result, we couldn't have asked for better service. In these frigid temps, they even replaced our AC unit! There were 4 different employees at our home, and every one of them was simply wonderful. They were even great with our dog! My home was left clean, neat and undamaged. If I wouldn't have known that the furnace and AC unit were replaced, "I wouldn't have known." Simply FANTASTIC SERVICE, for which we are so thankful!
I had Ryan and Corbin come out to replace and haul away my furnace and AC. These guys were very friendly and worked swiftly, but diligently. They arrived in the early morning and we finished up by mid afternoon. Ryan took time to show me how to use the new thermostat and explained thoroughly. Overall, their work looks great and my house is back to being warm.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY… instead, find someone more professional and reliable. On Oct. 21, 2024 H.L. Bowman performed a service repair at my home. During that visit, I purchased a Maintenance Value Plan (MVP) to reduce the cost of my current repair and also, entitle me to “Seasonal Precision Tune-Ups” of my furnace and HVAC system. On Dec. 20, 2024, Anthony D. arrived to perform a “Seasonal Precision Tune-Up” for my basement furnace. Anthony opened an access panel and inspected the electronics. There were a few cobwebs, and a few dead bugs were inside the open panel. Seeing the panel was about to get closed, I offered to vacuum out the area with my own Shop-Vac as Anthony D. did not have one. I vacuumed. Anthony then opened another access panel housing the furnace filter, and inspected the ductwork with a flashlight. Everything looked good. I then heard a puncture sound into the ductwork. Initially, I thought Anthony D. was taking a measurement of the air temperature inside the ductwork, but the poking continued. Anthony was using a spade drill bit to manually cut an access panel, in pristine ductwork, to examine the inside, only seven (7) feet away from where he just looked. This ductwork is thick with a silver metal lining on the outside and a black, protective liner on the inside to keep fiberglass from blowing around your home when the unit runs. The damage was done. The primary intention of this cut should be to reuse it by the next technician that needs to see the status of the inside of the ductwork again. On Dec. 23, 2024, I got a text from “Paul the General Manager with HL Bowman Inc Plumbing Heating and AC” asking if I received “5-Star Service.” I told Paul I did not and described my experience. Paul responded, “Thanks Donald we take all the feedback from our customers seriously and appreciate you taking the time and effort to communicate your experience to us.” On Dec. 30, 2024, I had to text Paul back again. I wrote, “Hi Paul. I wanted to let you know that one of the holes your tech drilled and taped started leaking this weekend. I had never seen one of these taped this way. I cleaned up the tape job as well as the seal. If the leaking resumes, I will let you know. In addition, I wanted to show you the cut that was made to examine my ductwork. I repaired that this weekend as well.” I sent Paul pictures of the destroyed ductwork, leaking pipe, and of my fix to that same ductwork. My repair for the ductwork Anthony D. destroyed, and his poor tape job, took three (3) hours. On Nov. 4, 2025, I received a phone call from Peter F. of H.L. Bowman. Peter F. called “as a courtesy” regarding my Maintenance Value Plan (MVP) plan for service. This summer, H.L. Bowman never called or came to service my HVAC system. I explained my initial furnace experience to Peter F. who had the audacity, to ask me to type up an E-mail, explaining what I just told him on the phone about my furnace experience, so he could “conduct an internal investigation” and get back to me. On Nov. 7, 2025, I wrote and sent Peter F. an E-mail as he requested. I told Peter F. due to the negligence of H.L. Bowman and failure to honor the Maintenance Value Plan (MVP) plan for service, I wanted a full refund for the purchase price of my Maintenance Value Plan (MVP) plan totaling $168.00. Peter F. never replied. On Dec. 3, 2025, after almost 1 month, I sent Peter F. another E-mail. Peter F. replied, “Sorry for the delayed response. The owner has been out of town for the past few weeks. I will follow up with you before the end of the week.” Again, Peter F. did not tell the truth, and as of Dec. 10, 2025, has not replied to my original E-mail. H.L. Bowman failed to uphold their end of my Maintenance Value Plan (MVP). H.L. Bowman is in breach of contract and they have handled my issue, with lip service and lies. This story, my story, will be told to every neighbor I have. Shame on you H.L. Bowman.
