Very transparent and honest but a very strange way of doing business. Would not step foot into the house unless was paid initial fee. Cash only, no flexibility on check or electronic payment. Snaked and charged way over what a traditional snaking job would cost. Claims the services provided exceeded the $400 paid however all he did was snake the main sewage line and in another spot in the kitchen. I asked for pictures of where he would recommend putting clean outs in sewage lines but he would not do it whatsoever. Ultimately, overpriced and quality of work was poor. He asked my tenants to help him. 10/10 would not recommend.

We suddenly found ourselves with a flooded carpet and no clue where the leak was coming from. Jim Strauss came out on a Saturday afternoon and spent a lot of time trying to diagnose where the water was coming from, which wasn’t exactly easy as the pipes in our type of house don’t run normal. He had to cut into our ceiling and made certain to make the nicest cuts possible for us to be able to make simple, easy repairs on our own to save us a lot of money. He spent a lot of time trying to figure out what turned out to be one heck of a puzzle. And for how much work and effort he put into everything, he charged us such a reasonable price! This guy is definitely about doing the work, doing it right and not about making his wallet fat. Anytime I need a plumber, I know why I’m going to call from now on! Best plumber in the area!

We had a main sewer line blockage. Jim Strauss plumbing came out ON A SUNDAY gave us up front and fair pricing. Did a great job and got us back up and running again. Will definitely call for all our plumbing needs .

I called Jim because my water heater was leaking. He spent over an hour on the phone with me and walked me thru some troubleshooting until we identified the leak. He told me what to get at Home Depot to fix it. I came back and he spent more time with me and told me in detail what to do. His knowledge is unmatched and he’s been in the business 40 years. I am beyond grateful to this man, there are few left like him. God Bless him.

Jim was exactly what we were looking for and needed. No answering service to hike up the price. No required million dollar high finance diagnostic tests before begining work. Just old school professional plumbing for the customer. Perfect for what I look for. He returned the call like it said 2x within a few minutes. First day he saw the problems and fixed our heat to make it thru the less than 20 degree night, preventing our pipes from freezing. Next day he did the required work for a permanent fix. Our formerly cold pipes now burn my hand. That's what I want. He was an hour early both days. No waiting and wondering if he was gonna show like people with alot of employees. He worked quickly and the price was very very fair. He's a great guy. Have hot black coffee ready for him and he goes right to work. I will definitely call him again if I have any heat or plumbing issues. Great job Jim!
