The job was to replace the damaged copper line from the basement to the upstair bathroom with a PAX line + shut-off valve. The area where the damaged copper line situated was TIGHT, not illuminated (could be visualized only with a cell phone camera by taking a photo) and behind huge Y-shaped LEAD sewer pipes/column. The technician Anthony could use ONLY one arm holding a small tool (large more powerful tool wouldn't fit) to remove the copper line. There was no other way but to cut that line piece by piece with 1 hand holding a small tool. As a customer, all I can say is that it was the technician's will power & perseverance to get this part done. The rest was completed in 15 minutes and the new line works perfectly. Total success. I am very impressed by Anthony's job performance. I wish his manager was at the location to witness his work.

Would not recommend. Hired this company to install plumbing after a kitchen renovation in November 2024, less than a year ago. I contacted them last night with photo and video of how it’s held up (not at all), heavy leaking messing up my new cabinet and flooring. I Was told last night that I would hear from Somebody today. That never happened so I called at this point, 6 PM, for help. I was told that this is out of the 30 day warranty and that if they came out it would cost $100 just for the visit + any repairs necessary outside of it. I would not risk the investment I put into my home on a company that does poor quality like this and avoids talking to you on the phone.

It was an good experience. The technician I was sent to my home was Louie. I liked him as soon as I opened the door and saw his smiling face. He did a quick but thorough job. He willingly answered my questions and invited ne to inspect the job to ensure that I was satisfied. Louie was efficient, friendly, and professional. He made me feel comfortable. This has been the worst experience of my life working with McClain Brothers. They dug up my backyard 2 months and left me a save the date to come back and seed/re-grade. They sent an email over saying they needed to reschedule due to an injury. Since that email was sent three weeks ago. I’ve called every single day for the past three weeks to get rescheduled. No one has responded, no has called back to reschedule. No one has responded to my emails, how is this a functional business? Also who plants seed/grass in July when it’s 90+ degrees everyday?

Hector, Martin, and the entire crew did an amazing job installing our new HVAC system. They converted us from oil to gas, installed a new gas furnace and AC system, and the whole process was excellent from start to finish. The team was on time, professional, knowledgeable, and respectful throughout the installation. Their workmanship was very clean and organized, and they took the time to make sure everything was done right. You can tell they truly care about the quality of their work. We are extremely happy with the installation and highly recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work done the right way. American Water Resources & McClain Bros. as a team provided prompt, professional & proficient service repairing our Central Air Unit. It was determined that the thermostat needed to be replaced. Hector called to determine if it was approved. He returned today and installed a new thermostat. He was kind & his coworker was diligent to instruct us on how to use it. Our family is very pleased with the service that was rendered.

UPDATE 4/16/26: The repair of my property is FINALLY complete after almost two months, getting the township involved, and reporting them to the BBB. The fact that it took this much for them to finish the job is insane. UPDATE 4/7/26: I have an email from the company where they stated they had a “cancellation” and can now fit me in on 4/14. I will update the review after their restoration of my property is completed. BAD CONTRACTOR. DISREPUTABLE, DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK, BAD COMMUNICATION/CUSTOMER SUPPORT! My water line is covered by a protection plan administered by my water supplier. Back in December 2025, a pretty significant leak developed in my water line, which after some back and forth with the warranty company, McClain Bros came out on Jan 30, 2026 to do the repair. It was extensive, requiring excavation and digging into my sidewalk and front lawn. The technicians that did the initial repair completed the job relatively quickly and successfully addressed the leak in my water supply line. The one star review is due to the office at McClain Bros and their inability or unwillingness to restore my property in a timely fashion. Upon completion of the repair, the technician told me the office would call back to schedule a cold patch on the sidewalk and leveling out of the lawn after the snow melted. This was to prepare for a full restoration of the sidewalk and lawn sometime in the Spring. Totally reasonable. After a little over a month of not receiving any updates, I called their business office on March 3, and the representative told me I was on the schedule and that restoration would take place in the Spring. Since there were only a few weeks left in the winter at the time, I figured that was okay. Imagine my surprise when a few days later, I received a card in the mail stating my restoration would not be complete until June 1! This is a safety issue and my property currently, after 2+ months since the repair (4/7/26 as of the date of this review), still looks as pictured. I’ve emailed McClain Bros multiple times to try to get my property restored, but every time I email them I get a litany of excused about weather, project timelines, soil/ground conditions, etc. In my latest email response to them, I asked the manager (?) Devin, how would YOU feel if this was YOUR property 2+ months after an excavation? I have even reported the issue to my township code compliance office and they STILL haven’t done anything or communicated anything about scheduling a date for the restoration of my property. Goes to show you how little they care. This is a safety issue and my property is an eyesore because of McClain Bros failure to finish the job. I’m not asking for anything unreasonable. I just want them to finish the job and fix my sidewalk and lawn. I have reported McClain Bros to the Better Business Bureau in hopes that they can help address the issue. Due to the above issues, I cannot in good faith recommend anyone use McClain Bros for any advanced plumbing work, especially if said work requires excavation/digging or other actions requiring follow-up restoration.
