Michael will talk down to you, especially if you are a woman. He will gaslight you and tell you he is right even if he isn't. Misdiagnosed the issue, insisted on replacing the water heater. Issue still not resolved. Tried to convince me that every single faucet in my house had simultaneously malfunctioned at the same time. I paid him because I've heard of many unethical contractors placing liens on properties and the headache was not worth it. Save your money, save your time, save yourself from being insulted and other indignation. Find someone else. Update- a thing I forgot to mention- routinely went around the property owner and communicated only with tenants, and what the tenants were told was not the same as what I was told. Tenants were upset because they didn't have notice and did not appreciate being contacted directly. I told Michael many MANY times to contact me first, since I am the property owner and responsible for paying the bills. No dice. Again, it is possible he would have behaved differently witha man. It's just not worth it. It turned out that my suspicion about the cause of the trouble was right, and because of Michael's insistence that I was wrong etc etc etc. I lost a lot of time and money, and tenants suffered for an unnecessarily long period of time. Again, buyer beware. There are many other plumbers out there who will treat you with respect, are competent and professional, and reasonably priced.
These guys are terrific. I had an issue with a leaking pipe in my walls, and super inconveniently it happened right as my wife was due to give birth. Mike and Bernie made a point to clear their schedule so they could come in and get the work done while we were at the hospital and make sure we had functioning plumbing before we brought our baby home. They were on time, they got the job done beautifully, and they left the place totally clean - no dust or drywall pieces hanging around anywhere. They will be my first call for any plumbing issues going forward. I should also add that they had no trouble finding the leak despite the fact that the plumbers my warrantee company sent could not. My only regret in this process was not bringing them in sooner.
