Update September 2025 - I'm following up on this post and increasing the rating to 5 stars. They returned after the second fix began to leak and replaced the entire line. The two gentlemen who did the replacement were very efficient, polite, and neat. They cleaned up after themselves and even replaced the damaged ceiling tiles, which we weren't expecting. Even though it took us a while to get a satisfactory fix, I will still use Rabenstein for our heating/cooling issues. August 2025 - We had two mini-splits installed in September 2022. Last year, we had a leak in our basement ceiling (fortunately, a drop ceiling). Someone from Rabenstein's came and "fixed" it with tape. This year, the leak returned. We called. A gentleman came last week and re-taped it with a different kind of tape. He was here for about 15 minutes and charged $115. Now, we have two leaks! The original one and a new one about 10 feet away! In the pictures below, there is a picture of the original leak (very dark) and the same leak now (we turned the panel around to see if it was still leaking), a picture of the new leak, and a third picture to show that the new leak is about 10 feet away. The gentleman was friendly and courteous but I really don't think tape is the answer here. I will be calling again on Monday, but I don't intend to pay another $115. Follow up - Rabenstein’s sent a more experienced person to review and fix the issues at no additional cost. Much appreciated.

After more than 26 years, our water heater quit working. It obviously needed replaced. I contacted Rabenstein Heating Air Conditioning & Plumbing since they have been giving us outstanding service for a long time. Obviously with no hot water, we were anxious to have a replacement installed. Two technicians, Bobby and Brian, came to our residence and checked the situation. They set an appointment within a reasonable time and showed up on schedule. Within an hour, they had completed the job and a short time later, we had hot running water again. The cost was competitive and Bobby and Brian were competent and professional. It was a pleasure to take a hot shower after they finished.

Neil was our service rep. He was extremely thorough and definitely knew what he was doing. We appreciate the timely response for this service call as well. Feel confident in the work that was done. We feel this was probably the best service we have ever had on our furnace.

Last year I had Rabenstein install a heat pump water heater. All seemed fine at first until I noticed a drip coming down the side of the unit. There was a condenser line that needed to be plumbed but wasn’t plumbed during the install. I had to call Rabenstein out again to have it fixed. No big deal everybody makes mistakes right? Well fast forward a few days and I tried to get some water out of the faucet that was plumbed on the bottom of the hot water heater and the whole assembly blew apart. So, again I called Rabenstein and they fixed it. This time however the plumber mentioned to me that it was his first time ever installing one of these. Still, not that big of a deal I guess as long as the install was done correctly right? Fast forward to last week. I decided that I’m gonna do some maintenance on my own water heater to save some money. Turns out theres an air filter on the top of the unit that needs pulled and washed every year and my installer parked the hot water heater directly under an air duct. No big deal right? I can just call Rabenstein and they’ll back up their work by fixing it free of charge, right? Wrong. They tell me that they won’t fix it without charging me and that the installer just places it wherever the old one was no matter what……any other plumbers out there follow that code of conduct? I doubt it. It should go where it will work the best and that decision should fall on the installer to make. So moral of the story, DON’T USE RABENSTEIN FOR ANYTHING.

Called during a plumbing emergency on a Sunday afternoon. Water was flowing out from under our dishwasher near our water system. They called me back in a hour or so and walked me through how to trouble shoot our possible issue. Unfortunately it didn’t work and we needed professional help. Instead of paying extra for off hours Sunday service, we shut off the water and waited until Monday. I called back Monday morning for help and they came out mid morning which was earlier than our scheduled window. They diagnosed our issue and helped shut the water off in the specific location so we could get water back to the remainder of the house. Their off hours answering service was great, we appreciated the fast help the next day. We would recommend and will call again if an issue arises!

Bobby and Brian installed a new kitchen faucet, new sink basket, and replaced a supply line. They were courteous, very fast and did an excellent job. My sink now looks beautiful and works great. We are so happy and very pleased with the job they did. Also the young lady who answered the office phone was super nice, courteous, helpful and pleasant. I would recommend Bobby and Brian and the Rabenstein Company every time for all your plumbing needs.

Tread VERY lightly when considering Rabenstein for any work in your home.

Rabenstiens is my go too for any work I need done. I recently had service tech Bobby and Brian out for a gas line removal and they were so curious, kind and knowledgeable. They walked me through everything and double checked to be sure everything was working properly when they left.

I had these great plumbers install a tankless hot water heater. The informed me when they were arriving. They arrived at that specified time. Both Brian and Bobby were polite, informative and knowledgeable on my situation. The treated my home with respect. Cleaned up everything at the conclusion of the job. Informed me of the specifics I needed to know. Then checked to make sure the unit was functioning properly. Asked if I had any questions and promptly left. I will keep Rabe steins as my plumber up here in Ebensburg. Thank you!
