Finding The Water Leak: I have 3 floors in my home. The plumber removed part of the ceiling on the FIRST FLOOR and a part of a wall under the sink on the SECOND FLOOR looking for where the water was leaking from. He couldn't find it. He went to the THIRD FLOOR (attic) and FOUND the water leak that COULD BE SEEN on the floor. The stream of water was coming from a rubber-hose that became partially disconnected from the drainage pipe. Water drips down. It stands to reason he should've started looking for the leak on the 3rd floor first. He said he "wiped up the water with a rug that he found in my attic" that temporally stopped the leak and left for the day. Day #2: Another crew came the following day (at additional cost) and attached the tubing to the drainage pipe. They charged me a total of $2,698.00 for 2 days of work and I need to unnecessarily replace a ceiling and part of a wall because the first plumber didn't have the professional-wherewithal to rule out all possibilities FIRST before removing walls and ceilings. (That I am now financially responsible for) I have called their company several times and no one has returned my calls. What is even more disturbing to me is that they are so blatant. In my mind, that suggests that they've been practicing this lucrative and corrupt conduct for a while, at the cost of trusting clients. They don't and won't fix their mistakes. To Conclude: I am paying $2,698.00 plus thousands of dollars more to replace a ceiling and wall repair that had NOTHING to do with fixing the leak. These folks didn't do the right thing. If they did it to me, it stands to reason they'll do it to you. Buyer Beware! Pictures included below:
I hired Reeves to address a gas leak, and while the two young techs they sent out did perform testing and some work, the experience was not good overall. After their inspection, they told me the entire house would need to be re-piped and quoted me an additional $3,700 on top of the $875 I paid them to do the connection to the service line. That felt excessive, so I brought in another company for a second opinion. The other plumber Travis from Mr. Rooter plumbing quickly found the actual problem. Only two lines needed to be fixed, not a complete overhaul of the system. It’s frustrating that Reeves tried to push such an extreme and expensive solution when the repair was far simpler. While they did the work I hired them for, I wouldn’t trust their recommendations without getting another opinion first after reading reviews I see I'm not the only one who's had this issue.
Jeff came out and the first thing he said was my furnace was old, then he fiddled around with things and told me that I needed a new heat exchanger and it would be expensive that I might as well just get a whole new furnace and that would be around $5,000 to $6,000. He also mentioned that it was extremely dangerous and dont recommend me turning the gas on. I wanted a 2nd opinion so I called another place and they came out and here all i needed was a draft inducer which I bought and had installed for $211 and now it works great
