Michael was the technician and did a fantastic job. Very polite, wore shoe covers as requested, and completed the job without issue. He even advised on peripheral issues and gave thorough feedback while doing the work. I was prepared to give him 5 stars, until I later discovered that the price was ridiculous and basically totally an abuse of the situation. Shame on me for not doing my due diligence in price investigation but I had foolishly assumed that a large company like Roto-rooter would give a reasonably fair price. I accept a certain amount of uptick as the cost of being lazy and don't quibble about a 10-20% difference. But $665 for about 25 min of work is just absurd. Job involved snaking the shower stall drain, a distance of about 10-12 ft to the larger diameter toilet drain. No major sewer work, no camera work. Simple snake job. The service was outstanding, from scheduling to job completion. The master plumber thecnitian, Ishmael, executed a highly professional job: 1. Attentively listened to my description of the problem. 2. Carefully inspected and assessed the site. 3. Provide me with his assesment information and alternative solutions to the problem. 4. Clearly and straight forward informed me the cost involved. 5. Once I make my choice, he reexamened the site and consulted a second expert opinion. 6. During the execution of the job he runned several test as well as several at the job completion. From his approach to the problem, and the conversation with his Supervisor, it was clear to me that integrity, knowledge and to do the best for the client are their policies and goals. A second thecnitian came to secure the toilet to the floor, which he did, but didn't solve the debris material that were coming outflow on the toilet. This issue was old concrete breaking. A third party solve the problem by fallowing the solutions I suggested.

He advised us on future steps to ensure we don't run into this issue again and charged a very reasonable rate. Plumber was nice and courteous and completed the work in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself. Roto-Rooter prices have gotten excessive compared to the past. It's good for a weekend emergency but would not recommend for scheduled work due to the pricing. I paid almost $500, with a $200 "discount" for snaking a drain.

Bought a house back in July. 1970’s house, bathrub drain was dripping into the drop ceiling for the bathroom below. Went to replace the drain/seal and couldnt get it out due to rust. Anyway all the vibration/movement trying to get the drain out, shook the seals loose and a small drip turned into the P-trap continuously leaking into the bathroom below. First call was to roto-rooter, Emanuel showed up around 3pm (less than 2 hours after my call) and looked at things and gave me the rundown. My wife and I had a 6pm date that we had scheduled months in advance. I told Emanuel we had to go at 6 and he said he could have it finished before we had to leave and if he couldnt, he would come back the next day to finish. 6pm rolls around and he was close to done, just tweaking to get it perfect. I left Emanuel in my home to go to our date so he could wrap up and not have to come back the next day for a few minutes worth of work. He was OK with that, was great with my dog, got it all done and made sure the door was closed when he left. This is my 2nd experience with roto-rooter since buying the house and will continue to use them going forward. Thank you Emanuel for being awesome and comfortable with us leaving. My bathtub no longer leaks and the work was professional and fantastic. I appreciate the flexibility and the ability to trust leaving Emanual in my home. Scott did an excellent job snaking our drain. He arrived promptly as scheduled and was neat and professional and explained the process from start to finish. He also pointed out that our garbage disposal was cracked, which we never noticed. Thank you for a job well done!

Mike from Roto-Rooter did an excellent job. He clearly explained everything that was going on, walked me through what may have caused the issue, and gave helpful tips on maintaining drain health moving forward. Even though the earlier communication issues were not his fault, he was very apologetic and professional, truly representing the company well. He worked efficiently, cleaned everything up, and even went above and beyond by cleaning out my sink. Great service from Mike highly recommend.
