South Side Plumbing & Heating

We had an awesome experience last week with Andre! We called on MLK day when our furnace stopped working, and South Side Plumbing & Heating called us back the same day and got us an appointment for the next day, which was awesome. The professional that came out to diagnose/repair the issue for us was Andre. He was so professional and kind, definitely the kind of guy you don’t mind having to your home. He did a great job of explaining what he was doing and what needed fixed. We are super appreciative of Andre and South Side Plumbing & Heating!

So happy to provide a 5 (+) star review to Southside Plumbing & Heating - our new HVAC provider. We had the best experience with Southside last weekend (from customer care, product education, and pricing to installation of a brand new Trane Furnace and service for our AC system). We've worked with Mr. Tim Vhalos in the past and, when we ran into issues with our existing HVAC system over the course of a weekend, reached out to him for a "second opinion" on the best next steps. Tim went above and beyond to provide feedback on what wasn't working and correctly diagnosed the issue at hand. He also helped us to weigh pros on cons on replacing an aging furnace and educated us on available systems and changes in equipment since our last system was installed. It happened to be a chilly stretch around Easter with temps in the low 30s, and Southside even loaned us some powerful space heaters to keep us comfortable prior to furnace installation. The furnace was installed, efficiently and cheerfully, by Evan and Josh who were a pleasure to work with and the left the area immaculate. A few days later, Tim returned as a courtesy, along with Andre, and they performed a full maintenance check on our AC system. Last but not least, the two men spent some quality time with our dogs, soaking in some "Pittsburgh sunshine" before heading out to their next job. We all (dogs included) are very grateful to be working with such a customer oriented, reasonably priced, family-owned company and recommend them wholeheartedly! Thanks to everyone at Southside (especially Tim - we thank you extra extra for your kindness and attention)!

So happy a competent repairman could come out quickly. He knew all about mini-splits. Friendly. Careful. Accommodating (he cleaned the filters, even though that wasn’t part of the job). He took extra care not to leave any marks on the wall or floor from the ladder. The price for the trip was right, and good job finding the house (most people can’t). Totally satisfied customer.
