Updated review: we had Thurgood come out to replace some toilet plumbing. The new plumbing was placed quickly and well done by Duncan. We had some trouble with a lack of communication with Duncan throughout the day and when he left the wax seal for us to set our toilet back in place. There were extra steps for bolt placement that weren't explained to us based on flange placement. My house was busy with kids running around but I wish he had taken 30 seconds to explain bolt placement and how to best attach our toilet with the wax ring he provided. Gusto was able to come out ASAP the next morning and helped us get our toilet set. He was very thorough with his explanation of what we needed to do. He could have just explained it to me and left it at that but he was kind and helped me get the entire process done. I was super happy with the estimate and options Duncan gave us on the first call and he did a great job plumbing our toilet in a small space. Overall, I am happy with our service and that we now have a working toilet that is plumbed correctly. I'm glad that Thurgood worked quickly to correct the issues we had. Communication is easy to get frustrated over but how this company has resolved our problem has resulted in me removing my original review. I want to be honest in how frustrated I was yesterday when we couldn't set our toilet, especially over something so simple. But this company has definitely gone above and beyond to fix the issues, listen to my comments and feedback, and work with their employees on how they can improve customer service.

From the moment I called in to the store about a water leak in my home, the receptionist was friendly and made scheduling easy to get a technician out with my schedule. My plumber Duncan, was excellent to work with. He was very informative, respectful and did a fantastic job with my home repair. Would recommend 10/10.

I called them to ask for a second opinion, based off what I previously was quoted. Whoa!!! Such a difference. They were fast to respond, and got me a new water heater same day. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Not only were they professional and helpful but really went above and beyond to find a unit to fit my needs and price but upgraded my water heater and lines that were over 30 years old including current safety features such as seismic straps that weren't there before. My technician was friendly, polite, and patient with my questions and clarifications. I was offered financing that was surprisingly quick, easy and straight forward. Thurgood Plumbing was awesome. I couldn't rate them more highly. We had them come out and prep our house gas lines for a gas upgrade (our home needed much more gas than the current meter allowed). Thurgood helped install regulators throughout the house, as well as helped us run a gas line to our outside fire pit. Their pricing was fair and their service was excellent.

Gentleman was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I was a bit shocked at what I would call the service charge when I was told there was no service charge, likely billed as labor and driving time to go get a new part. When considering work done against a new system there was no comparison. I would recommend the company but just understand there is no free ride so go into it with that expectation and you'll be fine. I do not feel I got skinned, but what I call labor was a bit on the higher side. All in all he was thorough and got the job done professionally.

My wife and I were able to get on Thurgood's schedule easily and had them repair a leaky pipe and install a new water heater. Pricing was very fair and Gusto performed all the work with ease. We are repeat customers and will keep calling on these professionals whenever we need work down with plumbing and HVAC. Dont bother looking around, just go with Thurgood plumbing! We got 3 different bids and Thurgood came in $1000 less than everyone else. They quoted the same options and upgrades. When we accepted the bid they came out that same day and installed our water heater. Technician was professional and respectful of our house, taking care to keep our floors clean. He gave us tips for maintaining the new water heater and was done in about an hour. Highly recommend, A+ service, they felt honest and reliable not trying to upcharge or add services like some of the other guys. thank you

Gusto was great on our sewer line quote and helped us figure out what the exact repair needed via sewer scope (everything was orangeburg as Gusto stated vs others saying orangeburg and cast). Unfortunately, the warranty, cost and timeline was not as competitive so we had to go elsewhere. Will recommend in the future, however!
